Panattoni Development Company announced the firm’s SHFL entertainment headquarters project received a NAIOP Southern Nevada Spotlight Award.
LAS VEGAS
 – Doug Roberts, partner for the Nevada division of Panattoni Development Company, announced the firm’s SHFL entertainment headquarters project received a NAIOP Southern Nevada Spotlight Award this month in recognition of the project’s impact on the local economy.

The SHFL entertainment headquarters, a 130,000-square-foot office, warehouse and manufacturing facility, received a NAIOP Spotlight Award in the Industry Impact – Tourism, Entertainment, Gaming category. This category serves to honor projects that have made substantial economic contributions to these target industries and the local real estate community. NAIOP, a leading organization for professionals within the commercial real estate industry, recognizes local companies and projects with its annual Spotlight Awards.

“The SHFL entertainment headquarters reflects Panattoni’s ongoing commitment to pursuing projects that promote job creation and provide promising economic opportunities for Southern Nevada,” Roberts said. “We would like to thank NAIOP Southern Nevada for honoring the team members involved in making this project a success.”

SHFL entertainment, which is now owned by Bally Technologies, selected Panattoni as the developer of its headquarters at 6650 El Camino Road in Las Vegas. The build-to-suit facility was created to consolidate SHFL entertainment’s executives, corporate departments, interactive divisions, product showroom and manufacturing operations, with a unique design allowing for future expansion. Panattoni completed the project in August 2013. Bally Technologies, a global provider of gaming technology, acquired SHFL entertainment following the completion of the project.

The project created a number of local construction jobs, and the facility currently employs approximately 440 people, including high-paying positions in the technology field, as well as office staff, manufacturing and distribution workers.

Panattoni also connected the project site with essential utilities, establishing power and water infrastructure accessible for new development in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
